UX Clarity Framework — TYPENORM
What is the UX Clarity Framework?
The UX Clarity Framework is TYPENORM's structured methodology for evaluating and improving the clarity of digital user experiences. It provides a consistent language, process, and scoring system for teams who want to make UX quality measurable.
The Six Dimensions of UX Clarity
1. Navigation Clarity
Can users predict where they are and where they can go? This dimension evaluates menu structure, labeling, and wayfinding.
2. Microcopy Quality
Does every label, button, error message, and tooltip communicate clearly? This covers tone, specificity, and user-centric language.
3. Visual Hierarchy
Does the visual layout guide the user's eye to the most important information? This covers typography, spacing, and contrast.
4. Error Recovery
When things go wrong, does the interface help users recover quickly and confidently? This covers error states, feedback loops, and recovery paths.
5. Trust Signals
Does the interface communicate security, reliability, and transparency? This covers social proof, data handling transparency, and status communication.
6. Onboarding Completeness
Does the first-use experience set users up for success? This covers progressive disclosure, orientation, and first-value delivery.
How to Apply the Framework
